Director Tiffany Alvoid

Tiffany Alvoid is an employment and labor law attorney, workplace investigator, and internationally recognized speaker who works with organizations navigating complex workplace investigations, bias-related risk, and accountability challenges. With over a decade of experience conducting in-house workplace investigations across multiple industries—including retail, higher education, and technology—she is trusted to address some of the most sensitive issues organizations face.

Ms. Alvoid began her legal career as a civil rights litigator, first serving as a Staff Attorney at a legal aid organization and later representing employees at a plaintiffs’ employment law firm. She brings this litigation background together with ten years of in-house investigative experience, giving her a rare, comprehensive perspective on workplace risk, compliance, and decision-making.

Her work focuses on workplace investigations, HR practices, and addressing microaggressions and bias in professional environments. Ms. Alvoid is particularly known for her ability to translate complex legal and behavioral concepts into clear, practical guidance that leaders, HR professionals, and employees can apply in real time. Organizations rely on her trainings not only to reduce legal exposure, but to improve consistency, fairness, and credibility in their workplace processes.

Ms. Alvoid has designed a signature training program on microaggressions that draws on historical context, legal standards, and organizational behavior. Her trainings have been widely recognized for their depth, clarity, and impact, and have been used to satisfy mandatory training requirements as part of settlement agreements.

In addition to her training and speaking work, Ms. Alvoid serves as an expert witness in both plaintiff and defense matters involving employment law, workplace investigations, and bias-related claims.

Ms. Alvoid earned her Juris Doctor from UCLA School of Law, where she completed a concentration in Critical Race Studies. She also holds an Inclusion and Diversity Certificate from Cornell University and a Bachelor’s degree in News Editorial Journalism with a minor in Ethnic Studies and History.

Her contributions to the legal profession and broader community have been recognized with numerous honors, including the Unity Award from the Minority Bar Coalition of the San Francisco Bay Area and the National Bar Association’s 40 Under 40 Award.

Ms. Alvoid is a sought-after speaker on workplace investigations, microaggressions, and inclusion, and her TEDx Talk on eliminating microaggressions has gained international attention. She currently serves as the Director of TCA Forums and Instruction and works in the technology sector.
